Frequently asked questions

What is Therapy House?

Therapy House is being developed as an integrated outpatient behavioral-health, addiction-recovery and wellness organization. Services should be displayed as available only when the relevant professionals, systems and approvals are operational.

Where should a new patient start?

A new patient can begin with the relevant assessment or Central Intake. The goal is to identify the appropriate service rather than requiring the patient to diagnose the problem independently.

Does Therapy House provide emergency care?

No routine website or outpatient appointment should be presented as emergency hospital care. Acute medical or psychiatric emergencies require the appropriate emergency/hospital service.

Does every addiction patient receive detoxification?

No. Medical and withdrawal risk must be assessed when indicated. Some patients may be appropriate for authorized outpatient care; others require hospital or a higher level of care.

Can family members participate?

Family participation may be clinically useful, but consent, confidentiality, safety and the patient's treatment plan determine what involvement is appropriate.

Are Nutrition and Physiotherapy separate from behavioral health?

They are distinct professional services that can coordinate with behavioral and medical care when clinically appropriate. Not every patient needs every service.

What is continuing care?

Continuing care is structured follow-up after an initial treatment phase or transition from another level of care. It may include recovery review, relapse-risk monitoring, treatment-plan updates and re-escalation when needed.

How are professional credentials shown?

Therapy House should publish verified degrees, licenses/registrations, roles and jurisdictions accurately and update them when professional status changes.

Can I book if I am unsure which service I need?

Yes. The website should provide a 'Not sure which service I need' option that routes the visitor to Central Intake rather than forcing a clinical self-selection.

Will website information diagnose or treat me?

No. Resource articles provide general education. Individual diagnosis and treatment recommendations require an appropriate professional assessment.
